Baby Blue is named for her beautiful blue eyes. She is a seal point tabby, and her fur is so, so soft. She is such a sweet, gentle, quiet girl who loves attention. She’s not a big fan of being picked up, but she adores curling up next to you for pets and gentle head rubs. She likes fish-flavored food and is slowly learning how to play with toys. Meet Weis Bar Cheesecake, She is an 11 month old cutie patootie. We pulled her last July from a high kill shelter. She has been with us since, she got over looked a lot due to her shy nature. This sweet little goblin is Cinda. She’s approximately 7 months young and full of kitten sweetness. Cinda was an orphan, pulled from the shelter in pretty bad condition. She was severely dehydrated, which is extremely dangerous for kittens. But, with the resources of the rescue, she survived and is healthy, happy and ready to find her people! Cinda is playful like most kittens, but she’s a but more on the calm side. She’s very sweet and affectionate, always coming to her person for love and attention. Cinda does have some trouble grooming herself. It’s a skill they learn from mama and she was orphaned. Typically she just needs a little wipe-down with a damp washcloth to keep her tidy and soft, but she’s not terribly opposed to baths either. Meet Romulus!

Romulus showed up in a tnr colony but definitely was not feral. He walked right up to the humans and said “love me! Feed me!” Romulus is estimated to be about 4 years old. He has a severe flea allergy and his skin is still healing and his fur is growing in. Once his fur comes in it’s going to be so beautiful and fluffy! Due to this, his adopters will need to be diligent about keeping him on a topical flea preventative.

Romulus LOVES humans. He is a cuddle bug and lover boy. He loves to be held and carried and snuggled.

He is fine with other passive cats but if a cat is agressive to him he has no qualms about finishing an argument.

Since he was recently neutered, he still has interest in the outdoors and should be kept away from outside door ms and watched carefully when doors are opened. That will likely go away/lessen as the hormones leave his system, but definitely something to be aware of. He loves kids and does fine with them, as long as they don’t leave doors open and watch out for him when they go in and out.

Poor Misha,

She came to us back in 2018, she was adopted, and then returned in 2019 because they were moving and didn’t want to take all the animals.

So she got adopted again, then made her way back to us in 2021, again due to not fault of her own. But this time, completely matted, so she had to be shaved all the way down. She is a long haired cat.

Success again, adopted in 2021, by someone we “trusted” to properly have her groomed and take care of her. She was returned in 2022, in the worst condition ever. Completely matted, poop matted to her butt, and she couldn’t even poop. We had to rush her to our vet, who stayed open to take her on and do what they could until she could be properly groomed. But she could at least poop.

Anyone Interested in her we told them her story, her story of not being groomed by the adopters properly once a month, the sanitary trims she would need. Success we thought again! When she was adopted October 1st 2022. But here we find ourselves with poor sweet Misha again.

Misha is back, for the 4th time. We feel as if we have failed her over and over and over again. Being bounced around from home to home, with everyone promising to love her, and to take her to a groomer for sanitary trims.

She could stand to lose about 4lbs give or take. She enjoys being lazy, and lounging around. She enjoys a nice cuddle with her person. With everything she has been through, she needs to be the only pet, she use to get along with other cats, but now we cannot guarantee anything.

If you’re NOT committed to taking her to the groomer for a sanitary trims, and proper grooming for her long hair, then don’t apply. We literally cannot go through this again! It is NOT fair to her. She deserves better and we keep feeling like we have failed her.

Anyone will need to give her time to adjust. She doesn’t look pretty right now, she needs a proper groom, she needs to be washed properly as well. You might have remembered our earlier post about the kittens and mama who survived a BB-gun attack by a Clarksville clergyman.

Meet S'mores and Harp, two sweet kitties looking for their forever home, together or apart. Adopted in August 2020, they've found themselves back at the shelter due to circumstances beyond their control. Despite this, their affectionate nature remains unchanged.

S'mores is currently available for adoption at PetSmart, where she's charming staff and visitors alike with her gentle demeanor. Though initially shy, she warms up quickly to those who approach her with kindness.

Harp, on the other hand, is receiving medical treatment for a skin condition, but don't let that fool you - she's just as loving and deserving of love. We promise to share photos of Harp once her treatment is complete and she's feeling more like herself.
